It&#8217;s quite eye-opening. <\/p>\n\n<p>First of all, the obvious:<br\/>Humans are the kind of pigs that real pigs would never be! Shame on you! <\/p>\n\n<p>We picked up litter today\u2014and I gave up after one very heavy bag. There would have been plenty more to find. <\/p>\n\n<p>My highlights from a single parking lot:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10 empty beer cans, neatly crushed along one axis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The top 25% of a rolling garage door<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A balloon gas cylinder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The coupling for a construction site water pipe, 2x sleeves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A corner full of empty condom wrappers<sup><a href=\"#footnote_1_2787\" id=\"identifier_1_2787\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"Either many people are unromantic once, or one person is unromantic quite often&hellip; GET A ROOM!\">1<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An empty blister pack of Ramipril 25 mg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cigarette butts like there&#8217;s no tomorrow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The kids&#8217; comments are wonderful:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Why is this HERE?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Who does something like that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>&#8230;And I don&#8217;t know the answer either.<\/p>\n\n<p>It&#8217;s also quite amazing how much trash accumulates in a short time and how much it all weighs.<\/p>\n\n<p>All in all, though, it&#8217;s a good feeling to have done something for our environment.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"footnotes\"><li id=\"footnote_1_2787\" class=\"footnote\">Either many people are unromantic once, or one person is unromantic quite often&#8230; GET A ROOM!<span class=\"footnote-back-link-wrapper\"> [<a href=\"#identifier_1_2787\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-back-link\">&#8617;<\/a>]<\/span><\/li><\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Go out and pick up litter with your kids.
