In a department store. Two completely normal people with a &#8220;Grannies Against the Right&#8221; button on their chests.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maybe I&#8217;m just imagining it\u2014the encounter was brief. But they radiated determination. It was clear: wearing that button was a conscious decision.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The encounter stayed with me&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wonder if I would wear a button like that. And although I always take a stand against the right whenever the opportunity arises: no.<br\/>To position myself against the right in front of anonymous right-wingers and thus not only encourage others but also provoke&#8230; I lack the courage for that.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am all the more impressed by it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wish all the more for myself\u2014and for all of us\u2014more moral courage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I ran into some Grannies Against the Right.
