Falling short. Not being enough.<br\/>But measured against what?<br\/>All too often: against what we believe others expect of us, and against what we believe others achieve.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if you talk to others, you may find that they fail just as much as you do.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is that still failure, then?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or can we be kind to ourselves and admit: &#8220;I wanted more\u2014but this will probably be enough, too&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think: Yes! Absolutely! <br\/>I think that if we sincerely do our best, then in the end we\u2019ve done our best. Who could ask for more? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As long as we don\u2019t stop trying and doing, don\u2019t let ourselves be beaten down, and want to do it well, there\u2019s no talk of &#8220;not being enough.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in the end, we\u2019re allowed to look back at what we\u2019ve accomplished and tell ourselves, &#8220;Yes! I did that well!&#8221;. <br\/>We\u2019re allowed to love ourselves for what we achieve. We\u2019re allowed to forgive ourselves for what we don\u2019t manage to do. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Failing. Falling short.
